MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. His music has seen major international inroads into the Latin pop mainstream. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of a Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in the year 2017. The year after Medellin, Sony distributed La Industria Inc. and also released ADN for his debut full-length album. The album reached the top of the charts at number eighteen places on the Top Latin Albums charts. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna to record Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia, made available in 2020 by Noriel and her Dopamina album the following year. In 2021, he appeared as a duo TINI to perform her streaming track Maldita Foto. In 2023, 2000 with the hit La Bachata was released. Turizo came from a musical household both his parents are both musicians. In his interviews, he's described participating in music as compulsory. As a child he learned how to play the saxophone, ukulele and piano. The first goal was to be an vet but when his brother Julian convinced to him take lessons in singing with the help of a Cuban singer, he altered his goals for his future career.
